Glories of Lord Narasimha

Regarding the presence of God, both the theist and atheist have practical experience in two different ways. They are as follows: The atheist is hypocrite that he says there is no God. There is presence of God both for the theist and atheist. The vivid example of this presence of God both before the theist and atheist simultaneously is Lord Nrsimhadeva. So God has two features of appearance—to the atheist He appears as Death and to the devotee-theist He appears as the Supreme Beloved. The hypocrite atheist says that he does not believe in God, but he cannot say that he does not believe in death. Our definition of God is that He is great. Cities are Rajasika or Passionate places and Farms are Sattvika or Place of Goodness   1. Now you want to purchase a farm, but can you manage? Why are you closing all the temples and then opening a farm? do you have sufficient men to maintain a farm? Why are you purchasing a farm? Letter to: Hamsaduta, Mayapur, 29 September, 1974   2. The farm program should be: grow your own food, produce your own milk, cloth and everything and chant Hare Krsna.  Letter to: Bhagavan, Bombay, 14 November, 1975   3. Harikesa: What happens with all these people who, like for example, myself, I can't live on a farm? Prabhupada: Eh? Harikesa: I can't live on a farm. Prabhupada: That does not make you, what is called, unfit. You can do something like that. Harikesa: I mean I was born in a city, raised in a city, and feel very good when I'm in a city, but when I'm on a farm, I'm very disturbed. Prabhupada: Rajasika, you have got rajasika. So that means your mode of nature is rajasika. Th...

Bhakthi Vigna Vinasha Narasimha Deva Bhagavan Ki Jay Jaya Jaya Sudarshana All Glories to Srila prabhupada Rule of Parikshit Maharaja Following is a Transcription of the Lecture on S.B.1.16.1_Eng_Rule of King Parikshit by Ramananda Caitanya Candra Das So this is a very nice chapter. This chapter describes the Kingdom of God and how the kings rule this world. What are the laws? The king takes advice from the learned Brahmanas he executes their order performs sacrifices, gives charity, performs austerity, encourages people to perform austerities, challenges the miscreants, he goes to the forest to hunt animals. Which is creating disturbance to the sages? He invades any country which is not subordinate to him. He punishes criminals and thieves. Gives judgment very quickly, and does not delay things nowadays, totally everything is topsy turvy the kingdom should be ruled based on the principles set forth by Lord Krishna, and the Kings should rule according to the system given by Lord Krishna...
