As a ideal family man, it is important to start your day by attending Mangal Arathi, Chanting Japa, Participating in Guru Puja, Listening to lectures on Srimad Bhagavatham, etc It is also essential to follow vows like Ekadashi fasting and avoid engaging in sinful activities like meat-eating, gambling, intoxication, and illicit sex. Apart from this, an ideal family man should guide and safeguard his children, especially in spiritual matters. He should perform Pinda, Tarpana, and other rituals to satisfy his forefathers. He should not be too attached to his possessions and relatives, nor should he be too detached from them. To please Lord Krishna, an ideal family man should perform sacrifices, particularly the Sankirtan Yajna, which is recommended for this age of quarrel and hypocrisy.
